Comparative Reviews

Where standard reviews examine a single product, comparative reviews examine two or more competitive products juxtaposing and contrasting them. Comparative review formats range from head-to-head comparisons of a single aspect of the products being tested to the classic multiple product bake-off done so well at Network Computing.

Head-to-head comparisons can compare products of similar architectures like two virtual tape libraries or Fibre Channel disk arrays. They can also compare products that take different approaches to solve similar problems, for example iSCSI and Fibre Channel arrays or backup software deduplication to a VTL solution with deduplication.
